Climate & Clothing
Central Australia (which covers Alice Springs, Tennant Creek and Uluru - Ayers Rock Regions) are semi-arid.  The tropical rains generally do not extend this far south, and as it's a desert environment, nights can be surprisingly cold during winter.  At the time of TriState 2008, temperatures in this Region are expected to range from 14°C to 30°C.

It can be cold during winter and at night-time, so warmer clothing like jumpers and long pants is recommended.  Travelling in the bush is more comfortable in jeans or similar practical clothing and strong shoes.
